Meditation Classes

In-person classes allow us opportunities to learn about meditation. Through guided instruction we familiarize with the main techniques of somatic practice. Class discussion helps us discover how the teachings of meditation resonate in our daily lives.

Introduction to Meditation

This class introduces the mindfulness-awareness practice of embodied meditation. Alternating guided instruction and group discussion, we learn how to meditate in a body-oriented way, while exploring how the practice might fit into and benefit our lives. All practices can be done on either the floor or in a chair. Please wear comfortable clothing. No previous experience required.

Five Minute Meditation

‘Five Minute Meditation’ is a mindfulness-awareness practice designed for busy lives. Working with posture and attention, FMM allows you to access a sense of deep rejuvenation in only a few minutes. Learned in a chair, the practice is easily done at home or work. Finally – meditation that fits into your schedule!

Morning Meditation

Start your morning with meditation and teaching from Meditation Instructor, Neil McKinlay. All levels of experience are welcome to join in a guided exploration of somatic – or body-based – meditation and discussion intended to help us bring this work into our lives. All practices can be done on either the floor or in a chair. Please wear comfortable clothing. No previous experience required.

Going Deeper

Delving deeper into the mindfulness-awareness practice of somatic meditation, this class offers longer periods of guided instruction and ongoing discussion to enhance our ability to be present with life, to relax into our inherent clarity and well-being. All practices can be done on either the floor or in a chair. Please wear comfortable clothing. Please bring a mat if your preference is floor practice. Previous experience required.
